Ingredients - Serves 4
1 dozen Hawaiian rolls
24 small frozen meatballs
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp butter
Directions
PART 1
Bake the meatballs as directed.
PART 2
Preheat oven to 350°F
Add cooked meatballs and barbecue sauce to a bowl and mix until the meatballs are covered in sauce. Set aside.
Cut the rolls so you have a top and a bottom.
Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
Place the rolls’ bottoms in the pan.
Cut the meatballs in half, and place 4 halves on each bun.
Drizzle with barbeque sauce, depending on your liking for sauce quantity.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Add the rolls’ tops over the cheese.
Brush on the melted butter.
Bake on the top rack for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden brown.
Tips-n-Tricks
If time allows, cook the meatballs in a crockpot with the barbecue sauce so they are ready when it is time to prepare the sliders. I often do this before going to work, making dinner much faster.
Pairs wonderfully with the Homemade Wedge Fries.
Here is my favorite baking dish and butter brush for this recipe!
